ABOUT ME
I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist who believes that therapy should be a space where you feel safe, heard, and empowered. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan, the #1 ranked social work program in the world. My training in this prestigious program has equipped me with the highest level of clinical expertise, and I have specialized experience in treating eating disorders, trauma-informed care, and queer-affirming therapy. I take pride in offering a therapeutic space where you can bring your whole self—your joys, struggles, and hopes—without fear of judgment. My goal is not only to help you navigate life’s challenges but to empower you to create lasting, positive change.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy going to the movies, weight-lifting, grabbing a boba, travelling, and continuously working on my own self-development. I am, also, passionate about creating more equity in the mental health industry and bettering my local community. I truly enjoy walking alongside clients during their healing journey and supporting them in their efforts to take back their power. It is a privilege to do this work. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, relationship issues, an eating disorder, or seeking deeper self-understanding, I’m here to support you.
EXPERTISE
In my clinical work with people ages 5+, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorders, relationship difficulties, and trauma. I have a particular passion for supporting clients with eating disorders, a highly complex and underrepresented area of mental health. My training includes expertise in treating individuals with trauma histories and a deep commitment to queer-affirming therapy. Through this experience, I’ve worked with diverse populations, helping clients gain clarity, build resilience, and develop healthier coping strategies.
I understand that every person’s journey is unique, and I tailor my therapeutic approach to fit each individual’s needs. My background has also allowed me to develop strong clinical skills in family therapy, trauma recovery, and supporting individuals through significant life transitions. I am committed to creating a space where clients feel both understood and empowered to make lasting changes that align with their values and goals.
COUNSELING APPROACHES
I believe that therapy should be a collaborative experience, where you are the expert on your own life and I am an expert of the tools needed to achieve the transformation you desire. My approach is eclectic and highly personalized, integrating a range of modalities to best meet your unique needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Attachment Theory, Couples Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as psychodynamic approaches and family-based therapy. This ensures that the tools and techniques I use are not only scientifically grounded but are also tailored to what will work best for you.
You can expect our sessions to be a mix of compassionate listening, authenticity, and actionable strategies. I often provide practical exercises between sessions to help you build confidence and independence in handling life’s challenges. My ultimate goal is to empower you to develop the skills and coping strategies you need to thrive independently, fostering long-term growth and fulfillment. My hope is that you will never feel like you are just another client— that your experience will make it evident that I genuinely care and want the best for you.
