ABOUT ME

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) with a Master’s degree in Counseling Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky. I combine solid academic training with practical experience to provide compassionate, client-centered care.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending meaningful time with family and friends, connecting with nature, and engaging in activities that promote personal well-being. I consider it an honor to support individuals and families as they navigate challenges and move toward a more empowered and fulfilling life.

EXPERTISE

I work with children, teens, adults, and couples facing a variety of mental health and life transition challenges, including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and self-esteem issues. I specialize in trauma-informed counseling and utilize play therapy to help children express and process their emotions in a safe and supportive environment.

I also assist clients struggling with relationship difficulties, academic and social challenges, and life adjustments. My approach centers on creating a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their unique healing journeys.

COUNSELING APPROACHES

My counseling style is flexible and tailored to each individual’s unique needs. I integrate a holistic, trauma-informed approach using evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and attachment theory to help clients recognize and shift unhelpful patterns, build healthier relationships, and foster emotional resilience. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

For trauma work, I use structured, evidence-based techniques that support the reprocessing of distressing memories and promote healing—like approaches used in trauma desensitization models.

In individual therapy, I support clients in navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship issues through personalized strategies that foster insight, growth, and coping skills.

When working with children, I incorporate play therapy to create a safe, developmentally appropriate way for them to express emotions, build skills, and work through challenges.

In couples work, I focus on enhancing communication, deepening emotional connection, and building mutual respect and trust to create stronger, more fulfilling relationships.

Building trust through active listening, empathy, and collaboration is central to my approach. Whether sessions are in person or online, I strive to create a welcoming space where children, teens, adults, individuals, and couples feel supported, empowered, and equipped to achieve lasting mental, emotional, and holistic wellness.
